As India accelerates investments in advanced manufacturing, electronics production, and AI-driven industrial transformation, Automation Expo 2026 has become one of the country’s premier platforms for industrial innovation. Against this backdrop, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion emerged as a key destination for manufacturers seeking intelligent automation technologies that enable smarter, more connected and sustainable factories.
The timing is particularly significant. Just days before the exhibition, the Government of India announced the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) 2.0 and the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme (MPMS), committing nearly US$20 billion to strengthen India’s semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ecosystem. Beyond semiconductor fabrication, these initiatives are expected to accelerate investments in industrial automation, AI edge computing, precision machinery, robotics, factory digitalisation and advanced manufacturing technologies—creating new opportunities for technology providers across the entire manufacturing value chain.
Complementing long-standing initiatives such as Make in India and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, these policies are driving India’s transition towards intelligent manufacturing and reinforcing demand for smart factory solutions, industrial AI, and digital transformation technologies. Taiwan Excellence brings together many of these enabling capabilities, positioning Taiwanese companies as valuable partners in India’s next phase of industrial development.
