Statiq, India’s leading EV charging network, has partnered with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to significantly enhance the country’s electric vehicle infrastructure. This collaboration integrates BPCL’s extensive network of approximately 2,800 chargers, including 2,000 AC and 800 DC chargers, into Statiq’s growing platform. Additionally, a bespoke app will be developed for BPCL to streamline the user experience, making EV charging more accessible and efficient.
This partnership is a major leap forward for India’s manufacturing industry, particularly in the EV sector. By leveraging BPCL’s vast infrastructure, Statiq will enhance the availability of reliable charging stations across the nation, which is crucial for the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. This initiative directly supports the growth of the EV manufacturing industry by providing the necessary infrastructure that enables consumers to transition smoothly to electric vehicles.
Akshit Bansal, Founder & CEO of Statiq, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with BPCL aligns perfectly with our mission to build a robust EV infrastructure that supports India’s transition to sustainable mobility.”
Statiq’s expertise in developing advanced software for EV charging stations will play a key role in the success of this venture. The company’s technology ensures that charging stations are always operational, user-friendly, and efficiently managed. This not only elevates the user experience but also improves the operational efficiency of the charging network.
As the EV market expands, the demand for reliable and widespread charging infrastructure becomes critical. Statiq’s network, which already spans over 7,000 chargers across 65 cities, aims to grow to 20,000 chargers by 2025. This expansion is essential for meeting the needs of a growing population of EV owners and supporting the manufacturing industry’s shift towards greener, more sustainable transportation solutions.
By establishing strategic partnerships like this one with BPCL, Statiq is helping to build the foundation for a cleaner, more sustainable future in India.
