Schneider Electric has announced a strategic partnership with Blackstone-backed Horizon Industrial Parks to establish a new 500,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. This move reinforces Schneider Electric’s long-term commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and advances its vision for self-reliant, sustainable manufacturing.
Located near Shoolagiri, along the Bengaluru–Chennai Highway, the facility will support the manufacturing and distribution of Battery Management Products, including UPS systems, PDUs, cooling solutions, and electronic accessories. The project will be executed in two phases, beginning with a dust-free manufacturing space and modern office setup to accommodate an initial workforce of 1,500.
The second phase will deliver a high-spec, custom-built facility tailored to Schneider Electric’s advanced operational needs and is expected to be ready within seven months.
“This collaboration with Horizon Industrial Parks reflects our commitment to sustainable manufacturing and operational excellence,” said Deepak Sharma, Zone President, Greater India & MD & CEO, Schneider Electric India. “It will not only enhance our capacity but also accelerate our efforts toward building a greener, smarter India.”
Designed to IGBC Platinum standards, the facility will integrate rooftop solar panels, smart sensors, EV charging stations, and advanced HVAC systems—a model for green manufacturing infrastructure in India.
