Raychem RPG, a leading technology solutions provider in the energy, oil, and gas sectors, has consistently delivered high-quality products and services. The company plays a crucial role in enhancing the reliability and performance of electrical networks and equipment, with a special focus on asset protection and loss reduction. With products like power and distribution transformers, Raychem RPG has earned a reputation for reliable operation even in the harshest environments.

The energy sector remains one of the most pivotal industries for economic growth, particularly in a country like India, where the demand for efficient energy transmission and distribution continues to rise. Raychem RPG has positioned itself as a market leader by manufacturing EHV cable accessories ranging from 72kV to 245kV at its state-of-the-art Halol plant under the Make In India initiative. The company’s efforts to localize production have reduced lead times and bolstered India’s energy sector, making it a key contributor to the country’s economic progress.

Raychem RPG has also pioneered the manufacturing of EPDM screened Elbow Terminations for medium voltage applications up to 33kV. This product, fully compliant with IEC standards, is the first of its kind in India and is being exported to Europe, marking a significant achievement for the company and the country’s export revenue.

In 2014, Raychem RPG became the first company to introduce covered conductors in India under the Amokabel brand. This technologically advanced product has allowed the company to establish itself as a leader in reliability and performance, and since 2017, it has been manufactured locally, further supporting the Make In India campaign.

The rise of Industry 4.0 has been another major development within Raychem RPG. The company has embraced digital technology to optimize operations, particularly in the manufacturing of insulators used in high-speed rails and power utilities in harsh environments. Through the integration of smart technology, the company has transformed traditional machines into interconnected, intelligent systems that offer greater traceability, higher-quality products, and improved efficiency.

Raychem RPG’s adaptation of Industry 4.0 extends beyond manufacturing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, with travel restrictions affecting customer interactions, Raychem RPG introduced online product inspections. By leveraging digital technology, customers could virtually inspect products, ensuring compliance with inspection criteria. This service has proven to be highly successful and continues to evolve, providing even smarter solutions for clients.

Sankara Raman’s leadership and vision have been instrumental in Raychem RPG’s ability to adapt to changing market conditions, innovate with advanced technologies, and maintain its leadership position in the power industry. Through his dedication to the development of high-performance, reliable, and sustainable solutions, Sankara has significantly contributed to the growth and evolution of the power sector in India and beyond.
